Day 48: Malkhut

There is a commentary on the biblical story of Sinai that the Israelites were ready to receive Torah only when they were able to see themselves as a united whole. Most of the Hebrew verbs to describe the movement of the Israelites are in the plural, but the verb describing them encamping at the foot of Mount Sinai is in the singular. The Ace of Cups teaches that in order to be fully present with ourselves, in order for us to grow and receive wisdom, we need to have the support of our community. And to earn the support of our community we need to show up, be present, not hide and be real about how we are feeling. How are you revealing yourself to your community so your community can reveal itself to you?
